2nd edition of Yajifarz Cup begins in Ogbomoso

The second edition of Yajifarz Cup Ogbomoso has kicked off.
The football competition which began last year has become so popular with many clubs (32) participating this year.

Ogbomoso Grammar School venue of the tournament was thronged by many football enthusiasts Monday. However, no matches would be played today, Tuesday.
In the opening matches White Stars FC won via penalty after goalless draw, while Awoye United spanked Jordan 3-0.

Some other fixtures this week are Jumbo FC vs Ostrich FC; Masifa United vs Olorunsogo FC; Akinwunmi FC vs Aworawo FC; and Hill city vs Dynamic FC.

Matches are played 2pm and 4pm.
The tournament is sponsored by Yajifarz Foundation whose CEO is Alhaji Abdulmajeed Oladimeji Solademi. Alhaji Solademi runs a a female basketball team – Air Warriors – based in Abuja which participates in the national league.
