The management of Genesis Medical Diagnostics Centre, Ogbomoso, has mourned the “sudden passing” of Dr. Oladeji, Medical Director of Mainspring Hospital, Ogbomoso, who died Thursday, May 14.

Late Dr Sunday Oladeji

The condolence message signed by Prince Victor Oyetayo Olawuyi, CEO/Lead Consultant of the centre, for and on behalf of the board, management, and staff, reads, ‘It is with deep shock, heavy hearts, and profound sorrow that the management and staff of Genesis Medical Diagnostics Centre, Ogbomoso, mourn the sudden passing of Dr. Oladeji, the Medical Director of Mainspring Hospital, Ogbomoso.

“His death came as a painful blow to the medical community, to the people of Ogbomoso, and to everyone who knew him as a physician, leader, colleague, mentor, and servant of humanity. There are losses that words can hardly carry, and this is one of them. Humanity has again been reminded, rather cruelly, that life is fragile, unpredictable, and painfully short, especially for those whose presence still matters deeply to their families, institutions, patients, and society.

“Dr. Oladeji was not just a medical doctor. He was a health leader, a builder of trust, and a man whose professional life was tied to the service of people. As the Medical Director of Mainspring Hospital, Ogbomoso, he stood at the frontline of care, leadership, and medical responsibility. He bore the weight that many healthcare leaders quietly carry: the burden of decisions, the urgency of emergencies, the expectations of patients, the pressure of management, and the silent sacrifices required to keep a hospital functioning for the good of the community.

“His sudden departure is a painful loss to his immediate family, to Mainspring Hospital, to his colleagues in the medical and diagnostic ecosystem, and to the wider Ogbomoso healthcare family. It is not easy to lose a professional who contributed to the health and wellbeing of the people. It is even more painful when such a loss comes suddenly, without the emotional preparation that human beings pretend would make grief easier. It never does.

“At Genesis Medical Diagnostics Centre, we recognise the value of every life committed to healthcare service. We understand the sacrifices, the sleepless nights, the emotional burden, and the professional dedication required to serve others in moments of sickness, fear, uncertainty, and vulnerability. Dr. Oladeji belonged to that noble class of men and women who chose the path of healing, even when the path itself demanded so much from them.

“His passing leaves a vacuum in Mainspring Hospital and in the wider health sector of Ogbomoso. A community does not easily replace a medical leader. Hospitals are not merely buildings with beds, files, drugs, and equipment. They are held together by people: by vision, competence, discipline, compassion, and sacrifice. Dr. Oladeji gave his own portion to that sacred work.

”On behalf of the Board, Management, and Staff of Genesis Medical Diagnostics Centre, Ogbomoso, I extend our deepest condolences to his wife, children, family members, friends, professional colleagues, the management and staff of Mainspring Hospital, his patients, and all who are grieving this painful loss.

“We pray that Almighty God will comfort his family in a way that human words cannot. May God strengthen Mainspring Hospital at this difficult time. May He uphold his colleagues and staff who must now continue the work while carrying the wound of his absence. May He grant the entire Ogbomoso health community the grace to bear this irreplaceable loss.

“To the family, we say: please accept our heartfelt sympathy. Your grief is shared. Your pain is understood. The life he lived in service to others will not be forgotten.

“To Mainspring Hospital, we say: Genesis Medical Diagnostics Centre stands with you in this dark moment.

”To the Ogbomoso medical community, this is another solemn reminder that those who serve life must also be cared for, supported, appreciated, and remembered. Healthcare workers are not machines. They are fathers, mothers, spouses, children, friends, mentors, leaders, and human beings carrying burdens that society often sees only when they are gone.

“Dr. Oladeji has completed his earthly assignment. Though his departure is sudden and painful, his contribution to healthcare delivery, his service to humanity, and his leadership at Mainspring Hospital remain part of the story of medical service in Ogbomoso.

“May his soul find peace.

”May his family find strength.

“May his institution find stability.

“May his memory remain honoured.

“Rest well, Dr. Oladeji. Your service mattered. Your life touched lives. Your absence will be deeply felt.”
