The home headquarters of Egbe Omo Ogbomoso Parapo Agbaaye headed by Prince Aderemi Olude has dissociated the group from litigation instituted by the national exco against the Soun of Ogbomosoland challenging its dissolution and subsequently replacing it with a caretaker committee headed by Professor Segun Ajiboye.
ogbomosoinsightonline.com recalls that national exco under the leadership of an acting president Alhaji Adetayo Yusuf, was dissolved months ago by the Soun. Previously, the national exco was led by Justice Afolabi Adeniran rtd who passed away in June 2025.
The socio-cultural organisation has been enmeshed in crisis with many suspecting a section of the leadership was not loyal to the Soun. The crisis lingered leading to the dissolution by Oba Olaoye who thereafter inaugurated a caretaker committee headed by Prof Ajiboye, immediate past Registrar of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

The national exco however objected the action of the Soun who is the patron of the association, claiming he is constitutionally hamstrung to do so. They also pointed out he is not the only patron and so could not unilaterally take such action.
Amid the controversy meanwhile, the dissolved exco approached the court for an exparte injunction against Oba Olaoye.
However, the home headquarters in a letter to the Soun dated November 27 and signed by Prince Olude (chairman, home headquarters) and Rev. Stephen Ogunniyi (for the secretary), the group clarified it was not part of those that took the Soun stool to court.

Titled, “Dissociation from the dissolved Ogbomoso Parapo Federal Council,” the body wrote, “We the above named home headquarter of Ogbomoso Parapo write to dissociate ourselves from the dissolved Executive of Federal Council.”
It reiterated its unalloyed support stressing they hold the monarch in very high esteem.
“This (letter) is to raise our support again and again concerning whatever step Your Imperial Majesty takes in Ogbomoso land. In other words, we are not eating gr**s together with the a****ls. It’s only a f**l and a b*****d child who will not honour his father when steps are taken to correct him or her and it’s only the ignorant that will question the authority of the Owner of the town on how he runs his town or how he wants his children to behave, so Kabiesi we are not included among those challenging your authority at the court of law.’
The group asserted the Soun under the constitution of the association is vested with power to sack the exco as the “Chief patron” noting others are vice patrons and subject to ratification by the Soun. They insisted it is ignorance to claim otherwise.
“Moreover, to remind the ignorant and those who may have less knowledge of the constitution of the so called Ogbomoso Parapo, the section of the constitution rule (22) states that “The reigning Soun of Ogbomoso land shall be the Chief Patron of the Federal Council. Three other Chiefs shall be the Vice-Patrons in order of their ranks, chosen by Soun of Ogbomoso land himself. This does not concern Olugbon of Orile-Igbon not to talk of Onpetu that has no favourable history in Ogbomoso land it only concerns the Alongos: Aale of Okelerin, Onisapa, Baale Ijeru, and Soun the head of the Alongos.”

It consequently advised any organisation bearing the nomenclature “Ogbomoso” to expunge Ogbomoso from their names if they would be antagonistic of the Soun and not submit to his authority.
“To crown it all any association home and diaspora with appellation of “Ogbomoso” The father of the land has authority on any, if not they must remove “Oghomoso land” from their name.”
It re-affirmed its support, “We pledge our loyalty and support to Your Imperial Majesty and we are ever ready to correct any wrong and to confront any confrontations that may rise to distract the peace of Ogbomoso land under your authority.”
