Source reveals date for commencement of fixing Ogbomoso internal roads

November 10 has been given as the date for the commencement of the repairs and constructions of internal roads in Ogbomoso Oyo state.

A source close to the contractors informed ogbomosoinsightonline.com that the November 10 date had been chosen though he stated the project would be in phases but that within six months it would be completed.

The source assured all the 22 roads earmarked would be executed, adding that Governor Seyi Makinde had started released funds for the project. “A large proportion of the money for the project has been released to the contractors. The two contractors that handled the Ogbomoso – Iseyin road would also execute the project. All the 22 roads mentioned by the governor when he visited the Soun of Ogbomosoland would be done.”

Recall Governor Seyi Makinde during a recent visit to Ogbomoso announced twenty inner roads would either be rehabilitated or constructed in the city. He disclosed the project which is very dear to the people of the city would commence in four to six weeks. With this disclosure the project is very much on course as the November 10 date is within the six weeks deadline.

Some of the roads highlighted are Owode – Bayaoje, Oke Alapata, Katangwa, Oja Jango, INEC – Industrial Estate, Aje Ologo, Areago – Water Works – Omo Ojeun and INEC – Adunin roads.
