Soun’s job creation committee-BOI empowerment trainees hold products exhibition Thursday

Ogbomoso in Oyo state will bubble next Thursday, July 10, as beneficiaries of a Bank of Industry (BOI) empowerment cum training programme are set to demonstrate their talents and the knowledge gained in various skills acquisition training programme they had undergone.
The exhibition which will hold at the Soun of Ogbomoso Palace starting 12pm is a result of collaboration between the BOI and the Job Creation and Empowerment Committee of the 25 year-development plan of Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, the Soun of Ogbomosoland.
The event tagged “Exhibition and project showcase – Round-off of the BOI empowerment training,” is expected to be attended by the representatives of BOI and other dignitaries including traditional rulers, development partners, and stakeholders from the business, education, and youth development sectors across Ogbomosoland and beyond.
A statement by AVM (Dr) Jacob Bolaji Adigun (rtd), chairman of the committee, noted the event marks the completion of the BOI empowerment training initiative.
“This event will feature the program participants’ business prototypes, creative innovations, and project outcomes, demonstrating the training’s transformational impact,” the statement further reads, adding, “It also aims to celebrate local talent, promote entrepreneurship, and foster community-wide involvement in the development of Ogbomosoland.”

Also, according to the secretary of the committee, Olusegun Kuti Aremu (ASK), the training which he said lasted about four months encompassed skills acquisition in Information Technology (IT), fashion designing, baking and pastries, adire and ofi making, household and industrial cleaning production and event planning and decoration.

He added that the programme offered hands on training and professional guidance that would come in handy in helping the beneficiaries build sustainable careers while assuring they would be assisted to set up with start up kits. “Stakeholders and other well-meaning sons and daughters of Ogbomoso will support in this respect. We are committed to achieving the purpose for which our committee is inaugurated as outlined by His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye. AVM Adigun rtd and other well-meaning individuals will render assistance in setting them up l can assure you on that,” ASK informed.
