Chief Pekun Amstrong Olaleye, the chairman of DeWKON Harvest Fields (a real estate firm with head office in Ogbomoso, Oyo state), informed ogbomosoinsinsightonline.com that Manchester Metropolitan University found out about DeWKON services and identified us as a company that would fit their ongoing research work on small and medium scale industries in Africa.
“They thereafter requested that some of their M.Sc students conducting researches on small and medium scale industries in Africa, would use our company as a case study,” Chief Olaleye added.

He further said, “The topic of their research was, ‘Building a strong brand and customer trust in real estate: A case study on the Nigerian real estate market.’ We unlocked the doors of our DeWKON to them, and on Monday, May 4, they made an online conference presentation, which we participated in. It was rewarding and an affirmation of our strategic focus.”
A statement by the company signed by Ms Victoria Oladeji Adebukola, customer service officer of DeWKON Group, also noted, “We recently had a productive strategy session with Manchester Metropolitan University, where DéWKON Harvest Fields was presented as a case study on the Nigerian real estate market.
“One key insight stood out, while the demand for land continues to grow, trust and structure are what truly drive decisions. This has strengthened our focus on improving transparency, expanding our digital presence, and creating more accessible opportunities for both local and diaspora investors.
“From refining how we communicate our value to putting better systems in place to serve our clients, we are taking intentional steps toward building a more reliable and scalable real estate experience

“We’re not just selling land, we’re building lasting trust and value.”
According to Olaleye, who is Agbaakin of Okin-Apa, the interaction with the institution has broadened their knowledge about business orientation and development. “They highlighted to us the value of conducting video tour of our estate where we are selling and allocating lands rather than physical visitation all the time, we took to this and it has really helped us to improve our services. They emphasized on bulk purchase instead of individual purchase which we hitherto focused on and this we now embrace and we have been seeing the results. We were also charged on targeting Diaspora investors, we focused on that before but we have had to restrategize on that based on their recommendations. It has been a positive collaboration with the Manchester Metropolitan University United Kingdom,” he maintained.
The Manchester, England – based university, boasting over 44, 000 students population and 5, 100 staff, similarly hammered on improved efficiency, standardisation of business process, greater communication of the values of DeWKON, and finding effective ways to overcome the challenges of real estate business in Nigeria.
Olaleye affirmed, “It has been a rewarding experience.”
