BREAKING: LAUTECH gets new Acting VC, Rom Kalilu

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology LAUTECH Ogbomoso Oyo state has gotten a new Acting Vice Chancellor. He is Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu. He replaces Prof Mojeed Iliasu.
Information reaching Ogbomoso Insight affirmed that Kalilu a Professor of Art and Art History and a former Deputy Vice Chancellor of the institution received his appointment letter to the effect Friday afternoon.
Of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences of the university he is first Ogbomoso person to emerge as Vice Chancellor in the institution.
He joined the services of the institution in 1992 and was pronounced a professor in 1999.
A report describes him as this “His administrative and leadership experiences are intense. He was Vice President of Fine Arts Students Association; Branch and Zonal Chairman of SSATHURAI; Head of Department; Dean of Faculty, Chairman; Committee of Deans; Chairman, Committee of Deans and Provosts; and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of LAUTECH among numerous other responsibilities. He is among the extremely few numbers of scholars consistently invited to participate, over the last seven years, in the QS World University Rankings and the Times Higher Education University Rankings.”
