The Allied Peoples Movement’s candidate for Ogbomoso federal constituency and founder of Oke LEGACY Foundation has announced the commencement of applications for its 300 NCE Scholarship Programme, an educational support initiative designed to provide opportunities for indigent students from Ogbomoso to pursue their academic ambitions in the Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) programme.

The scholarship programme, which opens for applications on Monday, November 2, 2026, is part of his continued efforts to expand access to education and reduce the financial barriers preventing young people across Ogbomoso from pursuing further studies.

Through this initiative, the Foundation seeks to support deserving students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds who have the ambition and capacity to advance their education but may lack the resources to do so. The programme also underscores the importance of teacher education and the development of a skilled workforce capable of contributing to the growth of the education sector.

Speaking on the initiative, Hon. John Adisa-Oke LEGACY emphasised that access to education should not be determined by a family’s financial circumstances. He noted that investing in young people through educational opportunities is one of the most meaningful ways to strengthen communities and prepare the next generation for leadership and service.

He further explained that the 300-scholarship initiative reflects a sustained commitment to supporting young people in Ogbomoso, particularly those who require assistance to continue their educational journey. According to him, the Foundation remains interested in creating opportunities that allow deserving students to pursue their aspirations without being held back by economic hardship.

The initiative builds on Hon. John Adisa-Oke’s previous educational interventions, including scholarships for vulnerable children, support for orphaned students and the distribution of thousands of notebooks and other learning materials to schools across Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Local Government Areas.
