‘No cause for alarm,’ Makinde on avalanche of resignations of key functionaries of govt

Oyo state Commissioner for Information Prince Dotun Oyelade has declared that his principal, the governor, Engr Seyi Makinde is unperturbed by the gale of resignations from his administration

The resignation of the Commissioner for Budget and Planning Hon Ayobami Ojo did not come as a surprise, Oyo state Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, has declared while reacting to the gale of resignations of key officials in the administration Governor Seyi Makinde.

Prince Oyelade made this declaration Monday in a press statement he issued.

ogbomosoinsightonline.com recalls that in the last few weeks several top functionaries in the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde and followers including the erstwhile Chief of Staff, Hon Segun Ogunwuyi, have renounced their association with the governor and by extension the party, Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

Prince Oyelade said Governor Makinde unlike many supporters who might be feeling betrayed has a sense of Deja vu

According to the Commissioner for information, “Never in the annals of this country has a governor stood his ground, maintains his composure and conviction under simmering and unfettered intimidation even while his colleagues capitulated against their personal will.

“The clear message that Governor Seyi Makinde is sending to all of us is that ‘Conscience is an Open wound and only Truth can heal it’”

Gov Makinde is reassuring Nigerians, and particularly the citizens of Oyo state that cowardice and prevarication is the least virtue we need at a time when victory from lies, empty promises, cajoling and deceit are just about coming to an end.
