2027: Makinde may announce party candidates this evening

There are indications that the Oyo state governor Engr Seyi Makinde and who is the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the state would raise the flagbearers of the party for the 2027 general elections.
According to credible information reaching ogbomosoinsightonline.com the party would hold a stakeholders meeting at the Local Government Service Commission Hall in Ibadan.
The gathering would see the governor announcing the candidates for Oyo North senatorial district where Ogbomoso is, and at other days those of other senatorial districts.

Ogbomoso Insight was reliably informed that the four House of Assembly members from Ogbomoso zone would be returned, a directive the governor had earlier given. Also, Hon Oke Best Legacy or an aspirant coming from the North may emerge as House of Reps’ member for Ogbomoso North/Ogbomoso South/Oriire federal constituency. It is also stated that Hon Shina Peller from Iseyin may likely emerge as senatorial candidate in the platform of the party.
Abiodun Oni, a friend of Governor Makinde, is penciled for Irepo/Olorunsogo/Oorelope federal constituency while Hon. Najimdeen Oyedeji Oyeshina a.k.a. O’Shine (incumbent) may emerge in Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency.

The candidates for Oyo Central would be announced Friday while that of Oyo South will wait until Saturday.
Also, speculations are rife that Bimbo Adekanbi may be declared as PDP guber candidate with his deputy slated for Ogbomoso.
It is further learnt that if the PDP eventually goes under leaders and members will move en masse to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
