OAKONSULT to stage medical outreach for children, young people with disabilities at Oolo, Ogbomoso

OAKONSULT Disabilities Outreach will Tuesday stage a medical outreach programme for children and young people with disabilities in Oolo, near Ogbomoso in Oyo state.

According to a press release by the consult, children from ages 0 to 25 are the target group of the outreach.

The group which is building a centre for the challenged children at Oolo town specifically will on Tuesday engage in medical and developmental assessments, physiotherapy and functional support, training of carers and parents, offer of psychosocial support, individualised care planning for each child and community advocacy and inclusion engagement.

Some other highlights of the medical outreach are medical aids assessment, health checks for children, exercise and movement support (physiotherapy), helping communities include children with disabilities and special care plan for every child.
