Comrade Subomi Adedoyin, principal of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Grammar School, Ogbomoso, Oyo state, has been appointed a Permanent Secretary in the Oyo State Post Primary School Teaching Commission (TESCOM). This is contained in a letter dated February 2, 2026.

The new PS will assume duty as Tutor-General Ogbomoso TESCOM Zonal Office, Friday, tomorrow.

Comrade Adedoyin had served previously as Head of Zone in the same office until last year.

Commenting on the deserving elevation, the Oyo State House of Assembly Majority Leader, Hon Sanjo Adedoyin, congratulated the new PS, describing the appointed as well deserved. This is as Hon Adedoyin expressed immense gratitude to the Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the appointment describing the governor as a man of honour.

“The appointment is well deserved. Comrade Adedoyin is my brother, he served as Head of Zone previously in the same Ogbomoso TESCOM Zonal Office, he made remarkable achievements from information available to me, contributing impressively to improving teaching and learning in schools, but that twist that characterizes human life made him revert to principalship. However, the wrong has now been righted,” the Majority Leader said.

“I most especially thank His Excellency Engr. Oluseyi Makinde for considering and approving the appointment of my brother Comrade Prince Adedoyin as PS. It is a victory for our family and for Ogbomoso. We are happy Ogbomoso just got another Permanent Secretary under Governor Makinde, it brings excitement, we thank His Excellency.”

Comrade Adedoyin served as principal in several schools in Ogbomoso zone including at Owode Community Grammar School, from where he emerged as HOZ in April 2024. He reverted to principalship early 2025, after he missed out in the appointment of new Permanent Secretaries. But a resilient man, he took it with philosophical calmness accepting the change of fortune without bitterness. Many advised him to proceed on voluntary retirement then but he held on, continuing his life. His forbearance has now paid off. Congratulations and happy retirement.
