‘He’s an Apostle of Peace and Progress,’ AVM Adigun, ODDA mourn Baale Masifa

Air Vice Marshal Jacob Bolaji Adigun (rtd) has expressed deep condolence over the transition of Baale Masifa, High Chief Gbadebo Oyebode Adeoba, who joined his ancestors Friday, October 17, 2025.

AVM Adigun, who is the chairman of ODDA, in a condolence message signed by Oluwasegun Kuti Aremu, his media & public relations officer, who plays the same role for ODDA, on behalf of his family and ODDA, commiserated the people of Masifa and Ogbomoso in general over the passing, noting the deceased was a highly revered traditional ruler who would be greatly missed.

“With deep sense of loss but total submission to the will of Almighty God, Air Vice Marshal (Dr) J. B. Adigun (rtd), Akogun of Ogbomosoland and Chairman, Ogbomoso Descendants Development Association (ODDA), on behalf of his family and the entire members of ODDA, expresses heartfelt condolences to the good people of Masifa and the entire Ogbomoso community on the passing of our revered leader, the Baale of Masifa.”

He declared that the late Baale lived remarkably well marked by good services, was humble, a promoter of peace and progress and a true custodian of tradition and culture, stressing he would be greatly missed.

“Baale’s life was one of remarkable service, humility, and commitment to peace and progress. His wise counsel, calm disposition, and deep love for the development of Masifa and Ogbomoso at large will be greatly missed.”

AVM Adigun prayed the deceased be granted eternal rest and for God to comfort the family he left behind, Masifa and Ogbomoso people at large.

“We thank God for a life well spent in service to humanity and to the upliftment of our people. May the Almighty grant his noble soul eternal rest and comfort the entire family, the Masifa community, and Ogbomosoland at large.

“Adieu to a distinguished and noble son of Ogbomoso.”
