Soun mourns Justice Afolabi Adeniran, says, ‘We lost an icon of jurisprudence’

The Soun of Ogbomosoland His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, has expressed grief over the demise of the former Chief Judge of Oyo state and President of Egbe Omo Ogbomoso Parapo Agbaaye, Justice Afolabi Adeniran (rtd).

 

Justice Adeniran ogbomosoinsightonline.com recalls joined his ancestors Sunday June 29 during a brief illness at a private hospital in Ibadan, aged 83.

 

Nigerians have been sending condolences to the family registering their grief over the demise.

 

Oba Olaoye in a press statement he personally signed described the deceased as an icon whose passage has created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill, while expressing condolences to the family and all indigenes of Ogbomoso over the loss.

 

The monarch expressing deep sorrow noted late Justice Adeniran devoted his life inspiringly to the cause of law and to the service of Ogbomoso his hometown.

He recalled how fate brought him up to swear-in late Chief Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala as governor of Oyo state in the 2000s.

 

Soun emphasized late Adeniran’s loyalty to Ogbomoso was undeniable stressing his contributions would remain unforgettable.

 

He also described him in glowing terms asserting he’s a man of humility, wisdom, progress-minded, loving, and committed to the upliftment of Ogbomoso.

 

The Oba said the emergence of Pa Adeniran as global president of Ogbomoso Parapo gave him immense opportunities to demonstrate his patriotism for his fatherland, informing the late legal luminary enthusiastically embraced his 25 year-development plan.
