40 students with scores above 300 benefit OGS Foundation’s initiative of refund of JAMB fees, Buhari then doubles amount

40 students who wrote the last UTME in Ogbomoso and scored 300 and above have been made to laugh as a non-governmental organisation, Ogunwoye Gbemiga Samson (OGS) refunded their registration fee.

Interestingly however, the amount was augmented by the senator representing Oyo North, Dr Fatai Buhari, in whose residence the event took place.
The OGS Foundation was led by its founder, Ogunwoye Gbemiga Samson (OGS), to the event, attended by parents, teachers and other education stakeholders, to celebrate the students’ accomplishments.
The event which focuses on recognizing and supporting students from the 5 local governments in Ogbomoso zone who excelled in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, underscores the OGS Foundation’s commitment to promoting academic excellence within the Ogbomoso community, a statement notes.
Ogunwoye Gbemiga Samson, chairman of the foundation, emphasized the importance of merit and excellence, stating, “There is no substitute for merit and excellence either in academic or any other aspect of endeavour. This highlights our core value and our dedication to fostering a culture of excellence and achievement.”
Senator Fatai Buhari further demonstrated his support by augmenting the amount refunded. In fact, he doubled it while charging the students to prioritize hard work and maintain focus in their academic pursuit.
