BREAKING: Site found for National Academy for Cultural Studies Ogbomoso campus

A location has been found for the takeoff of the National Academy for Cultural Studies (NACUS), Ogbomoso campus, Oyo state, ogbomosoinsightonline.com can authoritatively inform.

In April, the Federal Government announced its decision to establish the institution with four campuses selected across Nigeria including Ogbomoso in Oyo state, Calabar (Cross River State), Lagos and Abuja.

Meanwhile last Thursday during a townhall meeting with the people of Ogbomoso South local government area at Lagbami Osekun Civic Centre Aromowole, the Soun of Ogbomosoland Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III raised an alarm that a location was yet to be found for the Ogbomoso campus saying that an inspection team would be around to assess the community’s preparation towards commencement in September. He said if a site was not secured it could jeopardise the chances of the town.

Now, upon investigations by ogbomosoinsightonline.com it has been confirmed that a location had already been found to host the institution temporarily.

“I can assure you a location has been secured and it’s a good site,” an authoritative source told Ogbomoso Insight. “Though arrangement is still being finalised. When the time comes it will be unveiled but now it will be kept under wraps because l am not authorised to speak on it. But our people should be rest assured that the opportunity will not slip on the basis of location.”

The academy is a monothecnic whose focus would be on studies of culture and other related courses like (traditional) medicine and so on. It is being promoted by the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO).
