Soun of Ogbomosoland His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III has congratulated Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole fondly called Wolekanle by admirers. on his recent appointment as chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission.

 

“Congratulations on your appointment as the Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission,” Oba Ghandi Olaoye states in a message to Bashorun Akinwole, signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Community Relations Rev’d Peter Olaleye.

 

“I want to note that it is an appointment well deserved based on his antecedent. As a politician, he is doing excellently well having successfully stamped his feet in the political landscape not only in Ogbomosoland but across the state.

 

“In other areas he is making commendable contributions, l am aware of his football club which is ruffling feathers at the national level, he is an investor whose hospitality business thrives well in Ogbomoso. He is a kind of subject any monarch worth his salt will cherish.”

 

Oba Olaoye further notes that Wolekanle shares his vision for Ogbomoso underlining his role as a member of the committee that organised the maiden Ogbomoso Cradle Carnival last December.

 

“It is also noteworthy to acknowledge his significant role in the staging of Ogbomoso Cradle Carnival. As a member of the committee he made significant contributions. It is an indication he aligns well with my 25 year-development plan.”

The paramount ruler urges him to distinguish himself as the boss of the Local Government Service Commission and charges him not to relent in service to humanity and his community. “I commend him to perform his role with dedication in order to justify the confidence reposed in him.”

 

This is as the monarch expresses gratitude to the Oyo state governor Engr Seyi Makinde “for finding worthy sons and daughters of Ogbomosoland for appointments. I thank Your Excellency for all the appointments given our people. But we look forward to more appointments and especially government-funded developments. We are Oliver Twist, we want more.”
