The Soun of Ogbomosoland His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III, has expressed concern over the bandits’ attack at Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota in Oriire local government area on Friday, which left some people dead including a teacher and a student and several others abducted.
In a press statement issued by Mr. Toyin Ajamu, secretary of the Soun Palace, it is noted the monarch received the report with “deep concern” while expressing sympathy to the victims and their families.

The traditional ruler went ahead to denounce the attack describing it as unfortunate while urging their swift rescue and improvement in security situation.
“His Imperial Majesty strongly condemns this unfortunate act and expresses heartfelt sympathy to the victims, their families, and the affected communities during this difficult moment. The safety and security of our people remain paramount, and every act that threatens the peace and stability of our land must be confronted with firmness and urgency.

“It is the prayer of His Imperial Majesty that the perpetrators of this evil act will be apprehended swiftly and that all kidnapped victims will be rescued safely from the den of these criminal elements without harm.”
Soun commended the security agencies for their swift response to the emergency expressing his confidence in their professionalism and ability to do the needful.
“The Palace expresses confidence in the professionalism and capability of the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies, trusting that they are fully committed to the task and that the perpetrators will be brought to justice as soon as possible.”
He urged the residents of Ogbomoso zone to remain calm, vigilant, cooperative with security agents and continue to be law-abiding.
“His Imperial Majesty further urges residents across Ogbomosoland and its environs to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and cooperative with security agencies by providing credible and timely information that may assist ongoing operations. Collective vigilance and community cooperation remain essential in safeguarding our communities.”
The paramount ruler subsequently prays for prevalence of peace and tranquility in the zone.
“May peace, security, and order continue to prevail throughout Ogbomosoland and beyond.”
