More accolades have been heaped upon Dr Saka Adegbite Balogun over his appointment as the Balogun of Ogbomosoland, as announced by the Oyo State Government.
The appointment which was approved by the Oyo State Government based on the consent conveyed by His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, Soun of Ogbomosoland, was released on Monday 5th May 2025 through a public announcement made by Prince Dotun Oyelade, the Commissioner for Information.
The announcement created a buzz of excitement and has elicited avalanche of congratulatory messages being sent to Baba Balogun.
Dr Akin Oladeji-Johnbrown expressing congratulations in a statement he personally signed described the appointment as a good development and an auspicious omen for Ogbomoso.
“This is good news for Ogbomoso. The appointment of Dr. Saka Adegbite Balogun represents a good development in our community. It is an auspicious omen that will certainly engender growth and development. I, therefore, register my congratulations and good wishes to the revered Elder Statesman.”
Dr Oladeji- Johnbrown, who is the President of Ogbomoso Recreation Club asserted that the new Balogun is a man who has garnered valuable experience over the years which we believe will be suitably harnessed for advancement in the community.

“Our new Chief is a revered elder and who is a political icon, academia and encyclopaedia of history. His wealth of experience is humongous and varied. This can be leveraged to further steer Ogbomoso to greater pedestal. I congratulate Ogbomoso.”
He further said, “l am assured that Dr Balogun will add value to Ogbomoso. He has devoted his life to the service of Ogbomosoland, and now that he assumes greater responsibility, it is certain that he will be propelled to do more”
