Antioch Baptist Church Ogbomoso Oyo state erupted in joy Sunday morning as the family of Mrs. Rachael Alamu, the freed principal of Community High School, Ahoro.Esinele in Oriire local government featured in a thanksgiving service held to thank God for the miraculous release of the 35 of the 37 victims abducted by bandits May 15 2026 in their schools.

Speaking, Mrs. Alamu who became the spokesperson while in captivity declared “I was blind now l can see.”

She recounted their ordeals while in captivity saying they were not sure what their fate was. “Everyday was like the end but we knew people were praying for us and that God would intervene miraculously.”

She expressed gratitude to God, the church, governments at all levels, security agents and all Nigerians.

In his exhortation the church pastor Rev Dr Wale Olajire similarly expressed appreciation to God, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Seyi Makinde, security forces, the Soun pf Ogbomosoland Oba Ghandi Olaoye, Onpetu of Ijeru Oba Sunday Oyediran, Olugbon of Orile Igbon Oba Francis Alao, “and all men of different faiths, we knew adherents of all religions prayed fervently on the matter. We thank everyone.”

Rev Olajire spoke from the Book of Isaiah 43: 1-3 assuring that God is always there to protect His children in danger.
