The Chairman of Ogbomoso Progressive Association (home and abroad), Alhaji Abdulmajeed Oladimeji Solademi, alongside the President of the Association, Mr. Taiwo Oyedotun Ibrahim, have felicitated with Muslim faithful in Ogbomosoland and beyond on the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Adha celebration.

In a Sallah message signed by the duo, the Eid al-Adha is described as a season that symbolises sacrifice, obedience, compassion and total surrender to the will of Almighty Allah.

According to the statement, “Eid al-Adha reminds us of the importance of sacrifice, liove and peaceful coexistence. This is a period for reflection, prayers and renewed commitment toward building a more united and progressive society.”

The association also expressed concern over the growing insecurity within parts of Ogbomosoland, particularly the abduction incident involving students and teachers in Oriire local government area.

It therefore called for intensified efforts from government, security agencies, political stakeholders and community leaders toward ensuring the quick and safe release of the victims still in captivity.
