‘Remove this fallen container,’ Soun urges FRSC

Soun of Ogbomosoland Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III has urged the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogbomoso Sector Command, to, as a matter of urgency, effect the evacuation of a fallen trailer container at Takie Roundabout, noting the object is a potential trigger for auto accident.
Recall the container fell from an articulated vehicle a few weeks ago (January 7), leading to the death of three persons in a tricycle (Keke Marwa) including the tricycle operator.
Since then, the large container has been lying at the bend posing greater danger to road users and thus eliciting concerns as to why the authorities concerned have not effected its evacuation.
Worried also, the Soun, Ogbomoso Insight learned wrote a save-our-soul letter to the unit commander of the FRSC in Ogbomoso, requesting for the clearance of the obstructing container.
“The incident has caused significant disruption to traffic flow. The fallen container is still on the road, posing a significant risk to other road users,” the monarch said through a letter signed by the palace secretary, Mr. Toyin Ajamu.

“I kindly request that you arrange for your team to clear the fallen container from the road as soon as possible. This will help prevent any further accidents or loss of life.”
Meanwhile, ogbomosoinsightonline.com’s investigations revealed that the container is still lying there because of non-availability of hayab to lift it.
“The equipment that have been brought so far aren’t heavy enough to lift the container, hopefully this week a heavier hayab will be brought to get the container removed,” it was stated.
