The Alaaje of Aaje, His Royal Highness Reuben Adesina Amao Osunbiyi I, has admonished Oyo state governor, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde to remain strong in the face of adversity.

Alaaje made this admonition in reaction to the death of the elder brother of the governor, ENgr. Sunday Makinde, which occurred recently and whose remains were committed to mother earth at the weekend.

“Death of someone dear is a calamity that often leaves us with sorrow and everything becomes meaningless. But in such a difficult time, we have to remain strong, for, being sorrowful will not reverse the passage, it will only inflict us living with harm. Death is a process in our journey of life which we must embrace with equanimity. It will come when it will come. We can’t question God,” Alaaje stated in a press release.

He consequently urged the Oyo state’s helmsman to take heart. “Your Excellency take heart. We feel your pain, the Almighty will strengthen you, comfort you and the entire family. God will uphold the wife and children of the deceased. Let’s continue life with vitality,” the traditional ruler added.
