Oba Ghandi Scholarship Scheme

Dr Akanbi, the promoter, is intensely burdened by the need to make higher education more accessible to more Nigerians. Hence, he has floated a scholarship program for prospective students who are resident in Ogbomoso, in both the American College of Technology Nigeria and American Open University Nigeria.

The first category is for the students admitted into the American College of Technology Nigeria (Polytechnic). Ten students (resident in Ogbomoso) will be awarded fully-funded scholarship in any program of their choice. This according to Dr Akanbi is in honour of Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye for his support for the institution and his educational vision generally for Ogbomoso.

The second category will see other students of Ogbomoso residency who gained admission into the College of Technology enjoying 50 percent scholarship benefit.

For the university admission, 75% scholarship is waiting for all who gained admission and are resident in Ogbomoso (not necessarily indigenes.)

Meanwhile, the other condition aside place of residency is UTME score above 100 in line with the JAMB condition. Competitive O’level result is likewise imperative.
