Oriire abduction: OCF visits, gifts cash to late Dn. John Olaleye’s widow

Widow of the slain teacher in Oriire local government area of Ogbomoso, Oyo state (whose death was revealed after the rescue), Mrs. Funke Olaleye, has been visited and given cash donations by the Ogbomoso Community Foundation (OCF).

OCF, an umbrella socio-cultural organisation, visited her and gave a cheque containing an undisclosed amount of money.

The widows of Mr. Joel Adesiyan (the teacher killed on the day the bandits attacked their school at Ahoro-Esinele, and Mr. Michael Oyedokun (slaughtered in captivity), had earlier been visited by OCF on Wednesday 24th June 2025 and given their cheques.

Presenting the cheque on behalf of the OCF under the leadership of Gen Oladayo Popoola (rtd) and chairmanship of Engr Abu Salam, Mr. Amos Ajeigbe (a member of Board of Trustees) and Mr. Olusegun Morakinyo (general secretary) expressed sympathy on the tragic incident urging Mrs. Olaleye to take heart and hold on to God.

They assured the family that Ogbomosoland will stand by them.
