Oriire rescue: Ogbomoso Ajisegiri Abuja applauds Tinubu, Makinde, Soun, says ‘Suspects must face full wrath of law’

Ogbomoso Ajisegiri Abuja has weighed in on the issue of abduction and successful rescue of victims in Oriire local government area of Oyo state, applauding President Bola Tinubu, Governor Seyi Makinde, Soun of Ogbomosoland Oba Ghandi Afolabi Orumogege and all traditional rulers, heads of security agencies and all Nigerians for their support towards the safe rescue of the abductees.

The group made this known in a statement signed by its chairman, Engr Chief Wole Adeshina, and made available to ogbomosoinsightonline.com.
“We wish to thank God for the rescue of the Oriire LG kidnap victims. We thank President Bola Tinubu, Governor Seyi Makinde, Soun of Ogbomosoland His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III and all traditional rulers, heads of security forces for a clinical job and for their painstakingness, the generality of well-wishers. The success we admit is due to the collaborative efforts of all, it is noteworthy.”

The statement observes the experience is traumatic but counselled it should be taken as something God allowed for His glory while urging Nigerians to uplift the victims and families in prayers for their healing to be quick.
“The incident is traumatic and may last a long time before it subsidizes, for the victims, their families and all of us, but we must accept it as something allowed by God to prove His glory again. We should uphold and uplift them in prayers to quicken the process of healing, God will heal us all and prevent such occurrences in the future.

Further, the group clamoured insistently on the prompt and transparent prosecution of the suspects, saying that will serve as deterrent.
“For the bandits, they must face the full wrath of the law for the slaughter of an innocent teacher like a chicken, shooting dead others as well, and this must be quick and transparent. As the victims and their families heal, we should continue to remember them in our prayers for strength and succour. May God bless us all.”

Similarly, the group charges government to take security of lives and properties seriously “in order to make people have faith in the country and not scare away the much-needed foreign investors.”
