‘This is historic,’ Ogbomoso Progressive Association expresses joy over release of Oriire abductees

The Ogbomoso Progressive Association Home and Diaspora (OPAHA), has expressed joy over the safe rescue of abducted victims of Oriire local government area in Oyo state.
Recall the nation was greeted with the news of the rescue Friday evening, which generated widespread jubilation.

OPAHA in a statement signed by its global patron and president, Alhaji Abdulmajeed Oladimeji Solademi and Mr. Taiwo Oyedotun Ibrahim respectively, noted the action was historic and commendable.
“We at the Ogbomoso Progressive Association Home and Abroad (OPAHA) rejoice over the safe rescue of abducted students and teachers at Oriire local government area in Ogbomoso, Oyo state. It is an historic rescue operation,” the association stated.

It congratulated the rescued victims and their families wishing them full recovery from the trauma.
“We express our congratulations to the victims and their families. We pray God will quicken their recovery from the trauma they had passed through.”

The group further expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and the Oyo state governor Engr Seyi Makinde stressing they didn’t allow political differences to hamper the rescue operation.
It also thanked the security agencies for showing “gallantry and high level professionalism in the operation which successfully resulted in the rescue.”
It now emphasized collective responsibility in the security business while appealing to traditional rulers in Ogbomoso zone to bury their hatchets and move on in unity and togetherness.
