FG disowns alleged PFIPC headed by Prince Adeyemi, warns public

The Federal Government has disowned a purported appointment of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi under the auspices of an organisation known as the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), saying no such office exists under the present administration.

The Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, made the clarification in a disclaimer issued recently.

According to the statement, the attention of the Federal Government and the Office of the Chief of Staff was drawn to activities of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, who allegedly presented himself to members of the public as having been appointed by the Office of the Chief of Staff under the purported council.

Gbajabiamila stated that no such appointment had been made, stressing that the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council is not an agency or office recognised by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He therefore advised members of the public to disregard any claim linking the Presidency or the Office of the Chief of Staff to the alleged organisation.

The statement also urged foreign and diplomatic missions, financial institutions, multilateral organisations, development partners, security agencies and other relevant stakeholders to take note of the disclaimer.

The Chief of Staff reiterated that the Federal Government had no connection with the purported council or any appointment allegedly made under its name.

DISCLAIMER TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC REGARDING THE PURPORTED APPOINTMENT OF A PRINCE ADENIYI ADEYEMI UNDER THE AUSPICES OF AN ALLEGED ORGANISATION STYLED AS THE PRESIDENTIAL FOREIGN INTERVENTION PROMOTION COUNCIL

It has come to the notice of the Federal Government of Nigeria and specifically the Office of the Chief of Staff to His Excellency. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR that a certain Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, under the auspices of an alleged organisation styled as the “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council” is portraying himself to the general public, as having been appointed by my office.

2. The unsuspecting public is hereby advised to note that such an office does not exist under this administration and no appointment has been made in that regard.

3. Foreign and Diplomatic Missions, Financial and Multilateral Institutions, Development Organisations, Security Agencies and so on are hereby advised to note the contents of this Notice.
