Mrs. Tinubu praying for peace in the land and for the safe return of the victims particularly sympathized with the woman whose husband was killed.
“We have come in respect of the affected families of the abduction; may God help us be with them especially the woman who lost her husband. May God be merciful to us.”
Oba Olaoye thanked the delegation noting that the incident has shown that government needs to do more about security in the country.

“We thank you for coming. You have shown you are a good mother. It is a sad thing, consider the kids, it was three weeks yesterday that they have been in captivity. People ask us many questions we don’t have answers to too, like what are they eating? They will be bitten by mosquitoes inside the forest, if they develop malaria, who cares for them?
“We don’t understand too, we only want to thank you for coming to identify and commiserate with us, we also thank all those who accompanied you. By God’s grace they shall all return safely and sound. This matter has revealed that government needs to do a lot of things to prevent reoccurrence. It is a matter of importance that should not be taken with levity.”
