FACT CHECK: Have the Ahoro-Esinele’s abductees been released by bandits?

After report went viral since that the victims of abduction at Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota in Oriire local government area of Oyo state have regained their freedom ogbomosoinsightonline.com activated its Fact Checker to unearth the truth and these are the reports.

Family members of the teachers kidnapped said they were only hearing rumours too but have not seen their abducted people, been informed officially or called by anyone.

Also, checks at Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota also showed that none of the captives had returned or seen.

This is as phone calls to some operatives at the frontline denied the report disclosing the bandits and the abductees were before them but could not yet storm their hideout in order not to endanger the lives of the captives.

Also, inquires from the Commissioner of Information Prince Dotun Oyelade did not yield such answer that would confirm the news, as he said he was unaware of it. He however assured government is working assiduously and intelligently to secure their release.

In similar veins, The Punch Online in a report informed that Abayomi Fagbenro, the Special Adviser on Security to the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, described as untrue the viral social media posts claiming the victims habe been released.

Also, the Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo state, Olayinka Ayanlade, told The PUNCH hours ago that he was not aware of the release of the victims.
