A teacher of Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele, Ogbomoso, Oyo state, who escaped the horrendous attack by bandits Friday, has narrated how the school was attacked leading to killing of a teacher in a nearby primary school L.A. Basic School and a student.

According to the teacher who however did not give his name, that black Friday was for Continuous Assessment Test in the school and they were starting the test when the incident began to unravel.

“Actually I would say they sneaked on us,” the teacher said. “We just finished the morning devotion and the teachers were in their various offices, some in the hall, l was in the hall with another teacher and others in the lab. The principal was in her office.

“At about 9:30am, they fell upon us, no shooting, no noise, and from the hall where we were, we just saw them leading the teachers and students away. It was after they entered the school before they fired gunshots. We just bolted and fled into the bush in different directions.

“They drove three teachers, two vice principals and the principal away, some in the principal’s car, which they later set ablaze. Those of us in the hall and laboratory that fled returned separately. It was horrific,” he said with shock visibly written on his face.
