Yinka ADETUNJI

The Soun of Ogbomosoland His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III has congratulated Christians on the celebration of Easter, charging them to remain steadfast in Christ.

The Oba spicing his Easter message, his third since becoming the Soun with bountiful prayers urged the Christians to imbibe compassions, purpose, kindness and love.

The monarch similarly admonished them not to be despondent in the face of the many challenges facing them, the nation and the community saying light often comes after darkness.

This is the message, signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Community Relations, in full:

Today, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a day of triumph and joy for all Christians. May this special day bring you peace, love, and renewed faith.

As you gather with loved ones, may your hearts be filled with gratitude and your spirits lifted by the promise of new life. The empty tomb reminds us that nothing is impossible with God, and His love and mercy are always with us.

May the risen Christ guide you through life’s challenges and fill your heart with hope and joy. May your Easter celebrations be blessed with laughter, love, and sweet moments with family and friends.

Easter is a time for renewal and reflection, a reminder of God’s unwavering love and sacrifice. May this day inspire you to live with purpose, kindness, and compassion, and may your life be a testament to the power of faith.

Wishing you a blessed and joyful Easter Monday, filled with the love and light of Christ. May your heart be filled with peace, and may you be surrounded by the love of those around you.

Don’t let us jettison the lessons of Easter, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and let’s embrace His great work of salvation for mankind.

In this time of trial in our nation and community, let’s hope in God, have faith in Him that the trials will soon become testimonies. We can’t be downcast or weary whatever the machinations of the adversaries.

Happy Easter.
