Some students of Adeniran Memorial Grammar School (AMGS), Ogbomoso, Oyo state, were beneficiaries of school bags, notebooks and pens earlier this week donated by a construction company, CGC Nigeria Limited.

The gesture according to the principal, Dr. Olusegun Adeniran was facilitated by an old student, Engr. Atilade Otunla. Engr Otunla is a former national president of the AMGS Old Students’ Association (AMGSOSA).

Dr Adeniran expressed gratitude to Engr Otunla and the company saying the gifts would ease the burden of the students who were beneficiaries.

“We thank the company, CGC, for this gesture. We applaud them. We also thank Engr Atilade Otunla for not forgetting his roots. We believe this will encourage the students to face their studies. More power to their elbows.”

This is as the principal charged other old students to always contribute to the development of their alma mater “either through programmes like the one executed by CGC or physical projects to improve the school environment. We are committed to giving the school a facelift.”
