He got into a lot of partying very young and was not interested in Jesus. When he turned 16 he started to suffer from depression and anxiety. He even lost his tennis coach because of his bad attitude. In desperation, he phoned his grandparents, who were in the Ukraine at that stage. They told him to “go to church.” As he hesitantly walked into Life Church, he started weeping. He was overcome by the love of God. He went home and prayed, “Jesus are You real? I want to know You.” That day everything changed. All the depression and anxiety left him and he had never had another suicidal thought. Two weeks later his grandpa flew back to come and baptise him. He started to tell people about Jesus and eventually he surrendered to spreading the gospel.

The first miracle God performed through him was when he prayed for a paralysed man in a hospital and he was healed. “Four months after I got saved, a lady in Somerset West asked me to come and pray for the sick in their hospital. I went and saw a man that was paralysed from his waist down. I asked if I could pray for him. After I prayed for him, I left the room. To be honest, I did not think he would be healed. A few minutes later I felt the Holy Spirit say to me, “Go back and check on him.” I walked back and asked him how he was feeling. He was just about to check and then he lifted both legs! He looked at me and swore in fright! He was completely healed. He fell on his knees right there next to the bed and gave his life to Jesus.”
