A cleric who farms in Bayaoje near Ogbomoso Oyo state (who however pleaded not to be named) recently had a bitter taste of Fulani herdsmen’s strike as his motorcycle which he took to the farm last Friday was snatched from him.

According to him, he was in the farm with his two kid-children when he saw three Fulani herdsmen trying to move his motorcycle where he parked it.

“I stepped forward to challenge them,” he disclosed, ”and they started pursuing me with weapons, l had to run for dear life during which they made away with the motorcycle. We however thank God the three of us left unscathed.”

When he reached the community centre he informed the people who quickly alerted men of the Amotekun Corps. Amotekun operatives quickly swung into action and arrested the father of the suspects, a lame, at a Fulani settlement (Gaa) in the area.

The matter was subsequently reported at a police station at Favour area (attached to Zone 11). This was confirmed by operatives at the station.

The father of the suspects allegedly admitted “two of them were his children.” He is mandated to produce the suspects Monday.

Investigations revealed that about two weeks ago a similar robbery incident occurred in the area when the motorcycle of the driver of the Iba Iyaoje was snatched by suspected herdsmen also.
