Hon Remi Odetomi, a three-term chairman of Ogbomoso South local government, has, in his latest gospel album, pleaded with God to grant Nigerians goodness, asserting that the 6-minute, 35-second song titled, “Se rere fun wa,” underpins the longing of everyone in every stratum of the society. “Nigerians need a “better deal,” he noted.

There is no doubt Nigerians are seeking passionately an improvement in their living conditions in the face of the prevailing hardship in the land, with the assertion God is the source of all good things echoing through the song.

“The song is a soothing balm at a time like this,” Mr. Femi Ogunlana, publisher of The Insight newspaper/ogbomosoinsightonline.com, stresses. “Hon Odetomi is multi-talented, philosophical, and creative. All those who have listened to the latest production of the Ayegun Ogbomoso-born enigma have commended him concluding it demonstrates his steadfastness in God despite the challenges he has faced in life.

Music is a calling for the community leader! he has been fully immersed in it from childhood emerging as Assistant Choirmaster in 1983 at one of the biggest churches in Ogbomoso – Ayegun Baptist Church. Thereafter, he served as substantive Choirmaster in the years 1984,1985,1989 and 1990, and has remained a leading light in gospel music ever since.

Hon Odetomi has to his credit a number of albums including “Nigeria d’owo re,” “Emaa yo” and “Iwa rere,” many of which now enjoy rave reviews on YouTube.
