Mr Joseph Olasunkanmi Oladejo is a police officer deployed to Takie round about Ogbomoso for traffic control duty.

He is daily there from morning till afternoon, discharging the duty with enthusiasm and diligence. A charming officer he is always wearing an infectious smile showing his love for the job, warmly greeting people. The part he plays in ensuring road sanity at Takie Square sometimes assisted by members of the Rescue Alert Team and Oyo State Road Management Agency (OYRTMA), is commendable.

It is not unnoticed. A group on December 23 drove to the place to honour his devotion to duty. They gave him cash donation and an Award of Excellence right there on the road.

“It was very surprising, we were working together on Wednesday 23rd of this month,” a Rescue Alert operative Sulaiman Sanni told ogbomosoinsightonline.com. “Then, from a Lexus car alighted five persons who beckoned us to the roadside. The woman among them prayed for us and then presented an Award of Excellence and gift to the officer. We were all surprised and we congratulated him. According to the woman the award is from Fountain of Life Church Ogbomoso Youth.”
