AVM Adigun the Akogun Ogbomoso re-elected chairman of Ogbomoso Descendants Development Association

Air Vice Marshal (Dr) Jacob Bolaji Adigun ( rtd) has been re-elected as the chairman of Ogbomoso Descendants Development Association (ODDA).

AVM Adigun the Akogun of Ogbomosoland will along with other exco members spend three years in the capacity.

This is contained in an official statement signed by members of the electoral committee of the association, Professor Isaac O. C. Onigbinde (chairman), Chief (Mrs.) Ruth A. Agboola and Dr. Dcn. Kayode A. Ogunleye (secretary).

The new officers include Air Vice Marshal (Rtd.) Chief (Dr.) Jacob Bolaji Adigun (Chairman), Professor Josiah Olusegun Ajiboye (Vice Chairman), Mr. Patrick Ayanbanji Ojo (Secretary), Prince Niyi Akinloye (Assistant Secretary-General) and Mrs. Ruth Adeyinka (Treasurer).

Others are Barrister Ola Fatai Adeosun (Legal Adviser), Alhaja Misturah Olorunfemi (Financial Secretary), Olori Nike Olugbodi (Social Secretary) and Mr. Aremu Segun Kuti (Public Relations Officer).

“In line with the constitutional provisions of the Ogbomoso Descendants Development Association (ODDA), the following members were duly elected by consensus at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association held on Monday, 22nd December, 2025, at the Conference Hall of Ragarry Hotels and Conference Centre, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria,” the statement reads.

“Consequently, the newly elected Executive Council members are to serve for a period of three (3) years with effect from 22nd December, 2025.

“In accordance with the Constitution of ODDA, upon completion of their first term, they may be re-elected for a second term of three years, but no member shall serve more than two terms in the same capacity.”

ODDA is a socio-cultural organisation committed to the development of Ogbomosoland and has been involved in several programmes aimed at transforming Ogbomosoland.
