Makinde completes Yaku Bus Terminal in Ogbomoso

The construction of the Ogbomoso Bus Terminus has completed. It’s undertaken by the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration.
The terminus located at Yaku area along Ogbomoso – Iseyin road when ogbomosoinsightonline.com visited Saturday lays in sprawling majesty.

It is the first the administration constructed in the city, coming in the heels of the construction of similar terminals in Challenge, Ojoo, and two in Iwo road Ibadan (the latter which was recently commissioned).

According to findings the Yaku Bus Terminus will be the city’s terminal for commercial vehicles plying Oke-Ogun, Oyo, Ibadan and Lagos routes.

It boasts administrative offices, waiting halls, ticket spaces, eateries, public conveniences, open vehicular parking space, electrical power generating house, water reservoir, elevators and escalators, among other facilities.
It’s expected that the motor parks at Takie (Oyo, Ibadan, Lagos routes) and Seminary junction will be relocated to the new terminus.

When open for use, it is expected to decongest former bus stations at Takie, Seminary and Abepe. It is an upgrade purposed to create modern, efficient transport hubs, ensure commutters’ comfortability, greater control, and security. It will also boost local economy and migration of residents towards that axis of the city.

Meanwhile, the date of commissioning is
not yet confirmed.
