Amid legal tussle between the Soun of Ogbomosoland His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III and the national executive committee dissolved by the Oba, Ogbomoso Parapo Canada Chapter has joined the home headquarters and Kubwa Abuja chapter to condemn the litigation action instituted by a faction of the dissolved exco.

Titled, “To Whosoever It May Concem,” the letter dated November 30, and signed by Aderenle Adegbite (president) states, “The Ogbomoso Parapo Canada Chapter, a duly recognized and law-abiding socio-cultural Association representing sons and daughters of Ogbomoso in Canada, hereby issues this official statement to distance, disassociate, and completely reject the actions of certain individuals or groups within the body of Ogbomoso Parapo who have instituted legal proceedings against our esteemed and divinely enthroned Paramount Ruler, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, the Soun of Ogbomoso Land.”

“We strongly condemn, in its entirety, any attempt to subject the authority, legitimacy, or administrative decisions of His Imperial Majesty to litigation, particularly on matters that fall squarely within traditional, customary, and community-based jurisdiction-matters that are best resolved internally in the spirit of unity and heritage. The Canada Chapter holds the view that such litigation is unwarranted, counter-productive, and injurious to the collective interest of Ogbomoso sons and daughters both at home and in the diaspora.

“The Ogbomoso Parapo Canada Chapter recognizes and affirms that the ascension of His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III was in accordance with tradition, due process, and lawful procedures. We further affirm that His reign has already demonstrated visionary leadership, developmental foresight, and a renewed commitment to the socio-economic advancement of Ogbomoso Land.”

The group thus pledges allegiance to the monarch urging him to press forward in the task of transforming Ogbomosoland.

“Accordingly, we hereby reiterate and reaffirm our unequivocal, unreserved, and uncompromising support, loyalty, and solidarity to His Imperial Majesty as he continues to steer Ogbomoso Land toward peace, stability, and accelerated development.”

It urged the aggrieved to withdraw the suit, allow peace to reign and embrace dialogue while charging Oba Olaoye not to be distracted by the litigation.

“We therefore appeal to the individuals who have taken Kabiyesi to court to reconsider their actions, withdraw all legal hostilities, and embrace the path of dialogue, honour, and reconciliation. In the interest of community harmony, cultural preservation, and the collective progress of Ogbomoso Land, we urge them to allow peace to reign and to refrain from being instruments of division or disruption in the hands of adversaries who do not have the welfare of our land at heart.”

“We encourage His Imperial Majesty to remain focused, undeterred, and steadfast in his mission. The Canada Chapter stands firmly with him, confident that these temporary challenges will soon pass and that truth, tradition, and justice will ultimately prevail.”
