Ogbomoso inner roads’ rehabilitation to commence in two weeks – Gov Makinde

Oyo state governor Engr Seyi Makinde has given assurance that the rehabilitation of Ogbomoso inner roads would commence in about two weeks.

Engr Makinde made this disclosure Monday at the 2026 budget presentation in the Oyo State House of Assembly.

The governor presenting the budget tagged “Budget of Economic Expansion,” said rehabilitation of feeder roads would begin in Ogbomoso before expanding to other zones.

ogbomosoinsightonline.com recalls Governor Makinde on September 30, 2025, at the Palace of Soun of Ogbomosoland Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, promised the project execution would commence within six weeks from September 30, and that it would be handled by two construction companies Craneburg and Kopek.

However, there have been concerns the project had failed to take off some eight weeks after.

But speaking at the budget presentation attended by members of the OYHA, members of the executive committee, traditional rulers and other eminent personalities, he explained the project was presently undergoing due process and that in the next two weeks the contractors would be mobilised to site.

“I have said the rehabilitation of feeder roads in other zones would commence in Ogbomoso, and presently, the project is undergoing due process and will get approval in the next two weeks and we will move on with Ogbomoso feeder roads,” he declared.
