NEWS: Baba Adee, ex-gov Akala’s cousin and political associate to be laid to rest Friday

Pa Sunday Adewole Adeleye a.k.a. Baba Adee is to be laid to rest Friday, October 10.

According to the obsequies made available to ogbomosoinsightonline.com, the final home journey of Pa Adeleye who passed away September 23, 2025, at the age of 79, would begin tomorrow Thursday with lying – in – state and Christian wake service at his residence at Akinfenwa area, Randa, Ogbomoso.

Baba Adee was related maternally to a former governor of Oyo state, late Chief Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, and was one of his closest associates.

On Friday, funeral service will hold at Ola Oluwa Baptist Church, along Alao Akala Memorial Expressway, following which he would be interred at his residence.

Meanwhile, it is stated that final reception and entertainment of guests would be communicated later by the family.

Baba Adee hailed from Oloola compound of Osupa, Ogbomoso, where the mother of late Alao-Akala also was born. The former governor lived in the compound in his childhood during which time he forged a very cordial relationship with members of the family.
