Speaking, the principal, Mr Dele Omololu, congratulated the graduands, beseeching them to demonstrate and apply the knowledge they gained in the school as they prepare to integrate into a larger community.
“I want to implore you to continue remembering the lessons you have learned, the knowledge you have gained, and the friendship forged within these walls.

In his sermon, themed “For lives to be peaceful,” Rev’d Taiwo Tolulope, teenager pastor Owode Baptist Church Ogbomoso, reading from Proverb Chapter 1 vs 10, encouraged the graduands to embrace peacefulness as they explore life. He stated, “The aim of everyone in this world is to have peace. No sane person will dislike peace. Everybody is striving to have peace but some lost their peace in the course of seeking peace.”

He thus counselled against joining outlawed groups in the guise of seeking peace, saying it leads to regrets.
“Some people will join cult groups in search of peace. We are now seeing secondary school students engaging in cultism. Will joining cult group bring peace?” He queried.
“Never yield to the advice of the sinners, never join bad groups, always engage in what is peaceful, always listen to Godly piece of advice”, Pastor Taiwo advised.
Drama and cultural dance presentations enlivened the atmosphere. “We thank the school management for organising the event,” a celebrant told ogbomosoinsightonline.com after the event.

Historical Overview of Millennium Model Secondary School, Ile Ewe, Ogbomoso.
By Rev. Atiba, Joel Adegboyega.
Millennium Model Secondary School, as it is known today, metamorphosed from the first ever secondary school in Ogbomosoland, i.e. Ogbomoso Grammar School. This happened as a result of the disarticulation of the school in early 2003 during Governor Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja’s tenure. It started as a junior secondary school that was hoped by then to be feeding her mother School Ogbomoso Grammar School Senior. Another school that came out of Ogbomoso Grammar School is Owode Grammar School. However, by 2007, the school became a full-fledged school cohabiting junior secondary school and senior secondary school to date.
Dn Ayanlola B.K. became the pioneer principal of the full-fledged school. It must be stated that during the period in which the school was a junior secondary school, it had Dn Ayanlola as the pioneer principal and later Mr Akinwumi of blessed memory. By the time the school wrote her first junior secondary school examination certificate, the school had its senior school and was headed by Dn. Ayanlola after his brief stay at Community High School. Finally, the junior and senior schools were merged to become a full secondary school housing junior and senior secondary schools. The transfer of Dn Ayanlola to Ori Oke Community High School allowed for the coming of Mr. Omotsehin, after he retired, came the leadership of Mr. Francis Ogunlowo as the principal.
Be that as it may, when the late Governor Adebayo Akala was the governor of the state, he embarked on building good edifices throughout the state. The edifices were named Millennium Model Schools. It was from this that Ogbomoso Grammar School 2, which this school was known before, was christened Millennium Model Secondary School by Governor Abiola Ajimonbi, because the building under construction at the time was designated for the school. However, the dream of occupying this edifice was not realized until a decade and a half later when the Lord allowed the dream of occupying the edifice to become materialized.
It must be put on record that there were a lot of struggles as to the occupation of this edifice as a result of politics. For instance, the building was abandoned for many years without completion until the advent of the current administration led by Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde who made frantic efforts to complete the edifice. Even after it was ready for occupation, the politics behind it did not allow the suffering students who were under harsh conditions at the dilapidated building they occupied in Ogbomoso Grammar School to move in. This was during Mr Ogunlowo and Babajide tenuree as school principal. There was a time when it was given to Federal Poly Ayede as a take-off place. It was as a result of the Federal Poly Ayede taking over the building that forced both the students and the teachers, barely a week before the retirement of Principal Babajide, to move to the site on June 24, 2022, and since then, the school has remained here.
Barely a month or two later, the current principal, Mr Fleming Dele Omololu, resumed as the Principal. Without mincing words, his leadership of the school has been a great blessing, moving the school to be the best among equals. In Oyo State today, Millennium Model Secondary School is no 2, while it is no 1 in Ogbomosoland. This is not unconnected with Mr Omololu, who is currently the secretary-general of the ANCOPPS in the state.
The historical antecedent of the school would not complete without putting it on record that, the school as at today had been disarticulated into two, thus the edifice which we are celebrating it’s third year of occupation with valedictory service of the graduating students 2024/2025 session is now Millennium Model Secondary School 1 and Millennium Model Secondary School 2. Mr Omololu, as the principal of school 1, and Mrs Agnes Ajedokun, as the principal of school 2, with able and dynamic vice principals like Mr Oladipo, Mrs Odebunmi, Mr Atiba, Mr Olawale, and Mr Taiwo (all School 1) and Mr Ahmed Zambo and Mrs Idowu (School 2), and an indefatigable and competent working force of both academic and non-academic personnel, the school is moving on productively. To God be the glory.
