Rev Niyi Adebayo highlights 5 essentials of success as church marks Workers Day with Jesus Market

Rev’d Niyi Adebayo, Lead Pastor of True Worshippers Church (TWC), headquartered at Oke-Anu Ogbomoso, Thursday, delivered an impactful message on how individuals can break the shackles of poverty.
The occasion was the celebration of the ninth anniversary of the church and the 2025 Workers Day.
The church known for its community impact services encapsulated in building the mind, soul and body held various programmes including its usual direct poverty alleviation intervention through Jesus Market, lecture, free healthcare services and distribution of free food items and cash, to commemorate the milestones.
“May God continue to uphold, bless and move Reverend Niyi Adebayo forward for his Christ-like compassion for the people,” one of the beneficiaries who however did not mention his name said during a chat with ogbomosoinsightonline.com.
Its subsidized market initiative, this edition dubbed “Jesus Market 6.0.” as usual, sold foodstuffs and other essential household items at lower prices than the market prices. As an instance a bag of rice was sold at ₦55, 000 instead of the market price of ₦62, 000/₦63, 000, a measure (kongo) at ₦1,900 while prices of garri, beans, palm oil, groundnut oil, semovita, grains, beverages, yam flour, yams and others were also massively slashed.
In the same vein, no fewer than 150 aged widows, senior citizens, persons living with disabilities, retirees and retired clergies and some private school teachers were given free foodstuffs, crates of eggs, frozen foods and cash gifts.
There is no doubt the memories of May 1, 2025, will remain indelible in the minds of the many participants in the programme.
In his lecture titled, “Five buckets of potentials,” with copious quotations from the Holy Scriptures, Rev’d. Adebayo admonished business executives, entrepreneurs, civil servants, private workers, artisans and professionals on the need to acquire more knowledge that could be relevant to what they do, noting it’s a secret employed by successful people.
Also, quoting Steven Martlett in his book: The Diary of a CEO, he emphasised five essentials of success including knowledge, skill, network, networth and reputation.
According to him, ‘Knowledge encompasses what you know,” adding, “Everyone who wants to excel must seek more knowledge. Learn AI tools and programs that are relevant to your field. When knowledge is applied, it develops into skill. So, develop your divine abilities through knowledge.”
The clergyman whose school Zoe Schools recently made headline as one of only four schools in Oyo state to earn the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) Computer Based Test (CBT) approval, described skill acquisition as “What you can do,” asserting, “When you put knowledge into persistent use, you become a professional. When knowledge turns into skill, it opens doors to a good network.’
Emphasizing the third and fourth essentials, network and networth, he noted, “Network is who you know. Opportunities often come through relationships and recommendations. You need a broad network—the gift of men. If you’re narrow-minded, people may not enjoy being around you. Give back to the community where you work.”
He maintained that “When knowledge, skill, and network are combined, they would increase your net worth,” describing networth as “What you have.”
He explained that “With increased capacity, you gain access to more resources. As your net worth grows, so does your ability to be a blessing to others.”

The cleric concluded by defining reputation as “What people think of you.”
He charged the participants to strive to make themselves “indispensable through the strength of your knowledge and skill. Let’s keep growing, building, and becoming everything God has called us to be.”
Appreciation galore – ‘It’s innovative ‘
Adesewa Adebowale Ajani, a caterer at the event, commended, “The programme gives everyone joy. I cooked and people ate. Business was good, may God continue to move the church and Rev’d Niyi Adebayo forward.”
Another beneficiary said, “We thank God for the grace granted out father Rev’d Niyi Adebayo for his goodwill towards all, demonstrated by this Jesus Market initiative. It’s a great assistance to the people as they bought goods at lower prices. We sellers also, it’s opportunity for us too as we quickly sold our wares and made profits. May God continue to bless him and the church. May he be uplifted, may his ministry expand in Jesus name.”
Ajisegiri Oluwasegun disclosed, “We brought eggs, the church subsidized each crate with ₦500 and so we sold a crate for ₦4800 instead of ₦5300. We are happy because it’s an innovative way of selling. We thank Rev’d Niyi for this grace, may God continue to uplift the church.”
For Tunde Jesuniyi a.k.a. Baba Wazo, “We appreciate Rev’d Niyi Adebayo for his special programmes, which bring succour to the masses, the aged and the people generally. As an instance we normally sell a bag of rice at ₦62000/₦63000 but they subsidized it with ₦8000 and so we sold at ₦55000; ewa oloyin, a kongo is usually sold at ₦3000 we sold here at ₦2500. It is like that for other varieties. We thank Rev’d Adebayo and the church.”
Mercy Adebayo Oluwanifemi, a church member, also enthused, “We thank Rev’d Adebayo and the church. I sold items and the profit was good because many people patronised the market.”
This is as Nurse Rachael Adeniji disclosed, “l belong to the healthcare arm of the church. We also attended to the people. They consulted qualified medical personnel and we gave drugs recommended by the doctors. We also counselled people on how to take care of their health and the need to seek proper healthcare services. It’s a wonderful programme.”
