“Bring new ideas, innovations,’ Soun tells new Mogaji of Bolanta ruling house

Soun of Ogbomosoland His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III has installed the fifth of the Mogajis (heads) of the Soun ruling houses.
The Oba, Friday morning, installed Prince Samuel Oyedeji Oyebamiji as the Mogaji of Bolanta ruling house in an event attended by several dignitaries.
Traditional rulers, chiefs, Mogajis and several other topnotch guests witnessed the historic occasion.
Soun charged the new Mogaji to remain loyal to the throne noting his appointment as Mogaji was on account of his unquestionable loyalty.
He also urged the Bolanta family to accord support to the new Mogaji just as he charged Mogaji Oyebamiji to keep the family together in unity.

“This chieftaincy is meant for an elder and l told Oyebamiji you are a youth but you have to bring to bear the wisdom of an elder. I appointed him because of his proven loyalty to the throne, he has stood by the throne all this while.
“I have watched him for a year in acting capacity and l see he is wise beyond his age. Also, he is brave, he is committed to upholding the throne. Do not turn coat. And I have told him the day he misbehaves is the day he will be removed.

“Mogaji, you have made a covenant here which is binding, if you betray the throne and you are removed we would have done no wrong. Moreover, hold the family tight, keep it one. Bring everybody together.
“We know it is your family’s turn to be Soun, create a big legacy. I want you to set a high standard of what Mogaji should be, you are a young man, bring new ideas, bring new innovations. Do like elders.”
Areago of Ogbomosoland, High Chief Sobalaje Otolorin; Ikolaba, High Chief David Adeniran Ojo, Baale Pakiotan, High Chief James Oyetunji Ojo; Mogaji Aburumaku ruling house, Olawuyi Itabiyi, and others reiterated the need for him “to remain loyal and to continue to support the throne.”
The other Mogajis are Olawuyi Itabiyi (Aburumaku), Sikirulahi Oyeyiola Oyelami (Gbagun) Amos Olawole Olaoye (Laoye) and Stephen Ilufoye Layode (Odunaro). They all attended the event.
