NYCN Ogbomoso chapter holds International Youth Day festival Thursday

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ogbomoso zonal chapter will join others in celebrating the 2023 International Youth Day tomorrow,Thursday, August 10.
With the theme, “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World,” the event which will be held at Ogbomoso Recreation Club, Isale-General, will have as guest speaker Professor Abass Akade of the Chemical Engineering Department, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.

According to a statement by the NYCN Ogbomoso zonal chairman Matthew Oyewusi the event would also feature media engagement (already held), inter-school debate, ceremonial parade, panel discussion among others.
The panelists include TPL Ayanyinka Ayankanmi, Comrade Oluwabukola Olatunji, Barrister Dorcas OlatunjiTPL Morakinyo Oladotun while ACC Agbetiloye K.S. is slated as general contributor.
International Youth Day is a date set aside to celebrate the amazing contributions of young people around the world. For over two decades now governments and organizations have used it as an opportunity to create awareness about issues affecting youth, such as education, health care, employment opportunities and equal rights just as it has become a chance for youths to recognize their inner strength and potential achievable through hardwork and dedication.
