BIZARRE: Man jumps into well he used to throw money, drowns in Ogbomoso

Like a scene from Nollywood a young man, Saturday (May 2023) jumped into a well at Oja’gbo area, opposite the Central Mosque, Ogbomoso, Oyo state.
The deceased identified simply as Kehinde said to have hailed from Jagun Agbadamu compound Isale Oja’gbo reportedly made the fatal jump at about 8am when people’s concentration on him was slack.
However, people at the scene informed ogbomosoinsightonline.com that the young man suffered on-and-mental ill-health and had lived depending on handouts from sympathetic people.
“But the strange thing about him,” someone at the scene informed, “is that the little money he made from alms he would throw into the particular well he jumped into.”
Another person noted, “Perhaps he was fed up with life.”
His mother who is a jute (ewedu) seller was said to be away to purchase the commodity for sale for the day and so was unawares of the tragic incident yet.
His corpse meanwhile had been taken out of the well when ogbomosoinsightonline.com visited the scene at about 9:30 am.
He was unmarried.
