Ogbomoso Insight spoke with a resident of Igboho simply identified as Solomon to confirm the veracity of a viral news that the victims, a woman and her child had been released following an ultimatum by Chief Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a. Sunday Igboho on Saturday.
Mr. Solomon said there was no iota of truth in the report that they had been released saying even as we talk “our people are still in the bush searching for them.”

He confirmed Chief Igboho was in the town during which he gave a 2-hour ultimatum to the kidnappers to release the victims. It was after that that viral reports began to fly that the victims had been released. However, shortly after, the Nigeria Police Force and the chairman of Oorelope local government debunked the viral new jobs saying the victims were still in captivity.
Our informant added that though Chief Sunday Igboho with his team were also in the forest on Saturday but had left.

Speaking on the kidnap, he informed, “The abduction actually took place at Igbope which is a continguous community to Igboho, the two indeed had become one. The husband of the woman is a rice farm owner in Igbope and had their residence in Igbope. The attackers struck in the night, the man bravely confronted them but he was overpowered. They shot him but the bullet only grazed his head. I learnt he had been discharged from the hospital. The criminals demanded a N300m ransom but they are still on it.”
He recalled that the abduction of the pregnant woman referenced by Sunday Igboho happened about four months ago leading to the killing of the pregnant woman and the person that took the ransom to them.
So as at the time of speaking with him the woman and the child of the rice farmer are still being held by the bandits.
