In a show of concern, Hon Olufemi Onireti, the Director of the City Boy Movement (CBM) in Oyo state, has promised assistance to schools ravaged by rainstorms.

Hon Onireti who was recently appointed the Director of the Seyi Tinubu, President Bola Tinubu’s son’s pet project, CBM, working to galvanize support for his father, made this disclosure in a press statement made available to newsmen Wednesday.

He said, “I have followed the disaster that befell our public secondary schools in Ogbomoso, and seeing that it has disrupted academic activities, I became disturbed that this shouldn’t be. I also want to commend the Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Sanjo Adedoyin, for his appeal to the State Government as he made it a point of discussion in the House. My assistants went to some of the affected schools at the weekend incognito, and we were able to see the damages first hand.

“We are aware of the enormous challenges on the neck of the Oyo State Government, nonetheless, this directly affects the educational pursuit of our youths. So, as a concerned citizen of Ogbomoso, and not as a politician, we will look at what we can do to assist the schools.

“We discovered the exam hall of some of the schools had collapsed and obviously it would be impossible to write exams there and I learnt WAEC had started. We saw classrooms had been devastated suffering blown roofs. So, we will assess the situation and see the little we can do, and as I said not as a politician but as a concerned indigene. It has to do with the future of our children.”
