Another Soun’s legacy project begins – construction of Abepe police post

As promised, the construction of a Nigeria Police Force (NPF)’s post in Ogbomoso Oyo state has begun.
The mini station located at Abepe area of the city in Ogbomoso South local government is under a scheme of the Soun of Ogbomosoland His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, and is being undertaken by a yet to be disclosed indigene.

ogbomosoinsightonline.com recalls the Soun had emphasized that indigenes and non-indigenes alike seeking chieftaincy titles, traditional or honorary, would henceforth be saddled with the responsibility of executing a community development project.

In line with this he disclosed few months ago that a police post had been approved by the authorities of the NPF for Abepe. His Majesty actually mentioned elsewhere that at least ten police stations are slated for construction in the zone through communal efforts.
The land for the Abepe police post Oba Olaoye also informed was donated by the Onifedegbo of Fedegbo Oba Gbolagunte Olaosebikan Takutanpa 1.

When Ogbomoso Insight visited the site Friday morning, workmen were seen digging the foundation, while blocks and granite loads are deposited at a side.
The project is expected to be completed soon.
